Dixie Republic has approximately 200 new small stuffed animals for donation. This set includes a variety of plush mini zoo animals, each with a name tag. Includes lions, tigers, polar bears, cheetahs, ducks, and more!
Your cost is $1 and Dixie Republic will send each donated stuffed animal for distribution through multiple venues.
(NOTE: This was a special purchase. Dixie Republic makes absolutely no profit from the sale of this batch of stuffed animals.)
* In case you don’t know, in late September Hurricane Helene roared up beyond normal hurricane areas. She decimated areas not only in Florida, but Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and dealt unprecedented damages to the mountain towns of Western North Carolina. The storm caused catastrophic rainfall-triggered flooding. The storm and its aftermath caused 1,400 landslides and damaged over 160 water and sewer systems, at least 6,000 miles of roads, more than 1,000 bridges and culverts and an estimated 126,000 homes. Entire homes were destroyed, ripped from their foundations by the roaring floodwaters and were seen torn apart and rushing downstream. Thousands of families have lost everything, including family members.
8 weeks later…Western North Carolina is blessed through the absolute kindness of strangers showing up daily. Much of the recovery effort is due to volunteers.
- They continue to feed hundreds of people every single day.
- Workers are repairing and rebuilding the damaged bridges and roads.
- Thousands of power company folks traveled from all across the country (and Canada) and worked tirelessly to restore power.
- Amazing helicopter pilots performed daring rescues and dropped needed supplies to people who were stranded.
- Thousands of volunteers are still working to help clear the unending piles of debris and help rebuild entire communities.
- And there are those who can simply offer needed hugs and prayers.
Dixie Republic is connected with the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) and the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC) to bring loads of supplies to Western North Carolina for distribution. Our focus now is to bring a little comfort to the children impacted by the devastation.
